The Black Cats' defeat at Brentford was a very un-Sunderland like performance compared to what we've seen from them this season, while Everton will be very disappointed to have only drawn at home to Wolves. The last time Sunderland reached the final, when they lost to Liverpool in 1992, they broke my heart on the way when they beat my Norwich side in the semi-final. Sunderland are due another FA Cup run because they have only made it to round four once in the past 10 years, but I don't think this is their year either.

Goalkeeper Scott Bain says it was a "no-brainer" to sign a two-year contract extension after reviving his career at Falkirk. The new deal will keep Bain at Falkirk until at least June 2028, with the club having the option of an additional year. Following several seasons as a back-up at Celtic, Bain joined the newly-promoted Bairns last summer and has proved an impression addition for John McGlynn's side, who currently sit sixth.
