Nottingham Forest's chief football officer Ross Wilson is set to become Newcastle's new sporting director. A deal has been agreed for Wilson to move to St James' Park to replace Paul Mitchell. There was also interest from Newcastle in former Arsenal assistant sporting director Jason Ayto, who has since joined Brighton.
