Raiders backup QB Aidan O'Connell breaks wrist, expected to be out 6-8 weeks
Las Vegas Raiders backup quarterback Aidan O'Connell fractured his right wrist during Saturday's preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals and is expected to be out for six to eight weeks. Coach Pete Carroll confirmed the injury after the 20-10 loss to the Cardinals. “He fractured his wrist — he's hurt — it's going to be a while,” Carroll said.

Expansion side San Diego first to clinch postseason spot after 0-0 draw with Timbers
CJ dos Santos finished with two saves and expansion side San Diego FC became the first club to clinch a spot in the postseason by playing the Portland Timbers to a scoreless draw on Saturday night. Dos Santos notched a save in each half for San Diego (16-7-5) in earning his ninth clean sheet of the season. James Pantemis had one save and it came in the first half of his fourth shutout in 13 starts for the Timbers (10-9-8).

Harbor Miller and Elijah Wynder score 1st MLS goals, Galaxy beat Rapids 3-0
Harbor Miller and Elijah Wynder scored their first career goals in MLS, Gabriel Pec also scored a goal, and the LA Galaxy beat the Colorado Rapids 3-0 on Saturday night to snap a four-game winless streak. JT Marcinkowski made his first MLS appearance since 2023 and had a save for LA (4-16-7). The 28-year-old, who signed with the Galaxy in January after seven seasons with San Jose, missed the 2024 season while recovering from knee surgery.
