Wales' hopes of qualifying for the 2027 European Under-21 Championship suffered another blow as they were heavily beaten 7-0 by an impressive Belgium. Matty Jones' side had suffered a 6-2 defeat at home to Denmark in their opening Group I game in September, also at Newport's Rodney Parade. Belgium went ahead inside four minutes with defender Jorthy Mokio netting from close range after Wales captain Charlie Crew flicked on Diego Moreira's corner.
