Jeremy Peña and Christian Walker each hit a three-run homer, and the Houston Astros outslugged the Baltimore Orioles 10-7 on Friday night. Colton Cowser went deep for Baltimore, but the Orioles couldn't pull this game out despite twice cutting a four-run deficit to one. Steven Okert (2-2) got the win in relief for Houston, and the Astros — who are without injured closer Josh Hader and lefty reliever Bennett Sousa — held on.

Rookie Dominique Malonga had 22 points and nine rebounds, Erica Wheeler added 17 points and the Seattle Storm routed the Dallas Wings 95-60 on Friday night. It was Malonga’s fourth game of at least 15 points and five rebounds off the bench, the most by a WNBA reserve this season. Tiffany Mitchell added 11 points off the bench for Seattle (19-18).

Shane Bieber struck out nine over six innings of one-run ball in his Toronto debut and return from a 16-month absence as the Blue Jays beat the Miami Marlins 5-2 on Friday night. Daulton Varsho homered, doubled and drove in three runs, while Ty France had two hits and two RBIs for the AL East-leading Blue Jays. Bieber (1-0) allowed two hits and hit a batter in his 87-pitch outing.

Morgan tops US Senior Women’s Open as 1st-round leader Sorenstam drops 6 shots back

Becky Morgan of Wales shot a 5-under 68 on Friday to take the second-round lead in the U.S. Senior Women’s Open, while first-round leader Annika Sorenstam had a 78 to drop six strokes behind. Morgan had one of two rounds in the 60s in the first two days at San Diego Country Club. “This is my first one, having turned 50 last September,” Morgan said.
