Martinez starts road to returning

Carlos Martinez took his first step toward rejoining the Cardinals' rotation when he long-tossed in the outfield Monday afternoon. Alex Reyes will take presumably his final step toward rejoining the rotation (for the first time since 2016) when he pitches for Class AAA Memphis on Thursday night.
